Botswana life Sponsors LADY KHAMA Diamond Derby

Botswana Life has, for the fourth year running, sponsored the Lady Khama Charitable Trust’s Diamond Derby that was held recently at the Gaborone Agricultural Sebele Race Track. The company sponsored the Derby to the tune of P50,000, an amount that was handed over to His Excellency Lieut. General  Seretse Khama Ian Khama at the event.

Commenting on the donation, The Chief Executive Officer of Botswana Life, Mrs. Catherine Lesetedi-Letegele, said Botswana Life is very proud to continue its partnership with LKTC, which benefits a number of charitable organisations in Botswana. “We are indeed happy, honoured and proud to be donating this P50 000, which we know will go a long way in helping to make a positive difference in the various charitable organisations assisted by the Lady Khama Charitable Trust.

When speaking on behalf of the Lady Khama Charitable Trust, the Chairman Mr. Dale Ter Haar, said they are incredibly thankful for the donation and Botswana Life’s unwavering support. “It is always a great blessing to work with a company that takes its corporate social responsibility seriously. Botswana Life has and is still making a significant difference in our Trust; we are humbled and extremely thankful for this donation and that of the previous years.” He went on further to say “the Trust aims to raise and disburse funds for well-run charitable organisations that focus on helping vulnerable Batswana women and children, and it is with the help of companies such as Botswana life that our aim is achieved.

In concluding, Mrs. Catherine Lesetedi- Letegele emphasised that Botswana Life recognises the need to help and contribute towards any project or organisation that works towards a good cause. “As Botswana Life we will continue to contribute towards the growth of organizations like this with the hope and faith that every little contribution we make will change someone’s life for the better. We would like to thank the Lady Khama Charitable Trust for such initiatives and encourage them to continue doing what they do and allowing us to help them a carry out their mandate”.
