Thus, ensuring the team that serves Botswana Life’s thousands of customers continue to soar high is a key priority for the business, Interim CEO, Catherine Lesetedi, affirmed. Ms. Lesetedi shared this at the Botswana Life Achievers Club Awards 2018, held on Thursday the 3rd of May 2018 in Gaborone. Held under the theme “The Year of the Eagles,” this year’s awards worked to see honourees as eagles who understand the sky’s dangers, and yet have more to offer than the opportunities of the nest’s comfort. Despite a challenging global and National economy and difficult circumstances encountered in 2017, those recognised and celebrated on the night persevered and indeed thrived to help contribute to positive performance for Botswana Life. Said Lesetedi, “The eagle is among the world’s most revered birds of prey. With a striking build and set of wings, glisteningly-sharp eyes, and a sharp-tipped beak and talons; this creature is a remarkable example of the wonder and glory of nature that has mastered how to kill with precision, and yet still has instincts for nurturing the young. Our Achievers have these very traits in their DNA, true to the intrinsic business philosophy of Botswana Life. For this, and all that they do and inspire, we celebrate them.” A total of 38 recipients were rewarded on the night, marking a strong year on year growth of talent appreciation at Botswana Life, and a testament to the investment in capability yielding strong results. The much-coveted accolade of “Top Agent” awarded to Botlhale Makopa, who accepted the nod beaming with pride. “This is an incredible honour and I am absolutely thrilled and humbled. One works with conviction and determination to do one’s very best, and to have your peers and leadership of this great Botswana business recognise it in this way is something I could never have dreamed would become a reality.” The Achievers Club is a platform for Botswana Life’s elite agents and brokers who demonstrate a veritable passion for sales and driving the growth of the business.
