Botswana Life Signs a Memorandum of Agreement with BA ISAGO UNIVERSITY

GABORONE- Botswana Life has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Ba Isago University, which will enable the insurance company to enroll its staff and distribution partners for insurance courses at the University.  The MoA was signed on Thursday 3rd September in a monumental ceremony attended by Botswana Life Executive, Ba Isago University, Management, staff and students, members of the general public and the media. 

The specifics of the Agreement are that Botswana Life will seek admission of their staff into Ba Isago University programmes and that it will guarantee the sponsorship of all students enrolled in those programmes. Botswana Life will also inform Ba Isago of new needs in training and development, as well as offering technical expertise and advice on curriculum development.

Giving the welcome remarks the Ba Isago University Managing Director Mr. O.B Gabasiane, who applauded Botswana Life on the great work and assistance they have been giving them over the past years. He thanked Botswana Life for particularly helping the University with some of the programmes they have developed and even those they are offering through their partnership with the National University of Science and Technology.  “This agreement could not have come at a more appropriate time, as the insurance industry is gaining momentum and reaching its peak and it is with this that we are highly excited and delighted as Ba Isago University of the level of greatness that will be achieved through this partnership,” said Mr. Gabasiane.

Speaking on behalf of Botswana Life Mr. Onthusitse Mosiakgabo who is the Group Head of Human Resource, stated that this relationship started off as far back as 2005 and has since culminated into something that is as big as it is today. “We have recently celebrated a 40-year milestone and are now introspecting on the next 40 years and this has challenged us to think about generational continuance. For anyone to get somewhere far, one needs to find a partner and it is with this that we found it fit and meaningful to approach an institution of this caliber and partner with it,” stated Mr. Mosiakgabo. The Botswana Life Group Head of Human Resource concluded by saying that “There is a sense of pride amongst those who have seen this partnership through and a sense of hope it brings to the nation as a whole. We at Botswana Life are all about making a difference and this partnership for us is a dream come true as that difference will now surely be made.”
